The company is registered with the tender board as an excellent grade construction company. Since its establishment in 1975, Dawood contracting has completed many private and public projects to excellent quality, including the 5-star Alila Jabal Akhdar Resort, which is listed in the 10 most beautiful clifftop hotels in the world by Conde Nast Traveler USA in May 2016.

Chairman
Dawood is the Chairman of Dawood Contracting. He holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture from the USA and an MBA from Imperial College London, UK. Dawood has a dynamic hands-on management style that is complemented by his technical construction knowledge and progressive approach to marketing expansion. His vision and business skills have been driving Dawood Contracting to become a leader in the industry.
Talal Al Shizawi
Chief Executive Officer
Talal is Dawood Contracting’s CEO. Throughout his 28-year career to date, he has developed strong managerial skills, with a solid technical knowledge of construction standards. Talal has been, and will continue to be, an integral part in the growth of the company. He has been applying his valuable experience, which includes prominent work in the country, to assist in the development of the business as a whole.
Maria Al Futaisi
General Manager
Maria is the General Manger at the company. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture M(Arch) and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture BA(Hons) from the UK, both accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects. She has a strong experience in the construction industry with significant experience in the residential sector. Maria specializes in guiding the delivery team across all disciplines to ensure successful completion of projects.
Mahmoud El Khatib
Project Director
Mahmoud is a Project Director with Dawood Contracting. Mahmoud possesses expertise in executing different types of projects. His experience to date had provided him with valuable insight, keen analysis and team approach to implement best practices and achieve business excellence. Mahmoud’s experience helps him ensure that projects are professionally managed and the delivery meets and exceeds Clients’ expectations.
